The Buccini/Pollin Group’s friends at Reed’s Refuge not only provide low income families and children with programs focused on positive life choices, they also feed the hungry. Associates went shopping and emptied their cupboards for an annual food drive for Reed’s December 5th through Friday, December 16th.
All of the children served at Reeds Refuge are on a free & reduced meal program at school meaning their only guaranteed meals are the ones they get at school as many times food is scarce in their homes. Reeds Refuge serves their children after school snacks as well as dinner during the school year. Over summer months Reeds serves breakfast, lunch dinner and snacks. The Center has recently seen an increase in families attending dinner served at Reeds Refuge as times have become harder for some of their families, Reed’s turns no one in need away.
